Board of Visitors
The Board of Visitors is the supervisory board of 小黄鸭视频. The Board defines the mission of the Institute as a public institution of higher education in the Commonwealth of Virginia and oversees the development, revision, and implementation of a strategic plan for the accomplishment of that mission.
The Board has 16 members, appointed by the governor of Virginia and subject to confirmation by the Virginia General Assembly. Of those members, four must be non-alumni, and 12 must be alumni. The four non-alumni must be residents of the Commonwealth. Four of the 12 alumni will be non-residents of the Commonwealth. The adjutant general of the Commonwealth of Virginia shall serve ex officio. A regular term of membership is four years. Members shall serve and be eligible for reappointment as provided by statute. Each year the Board appoints a cadet to serve as a non-voting, advisory representative to the Board.

In accordance with Va. Code § 2.2-3708.3 (C), the VMI Board of Visitors will meet by electronic communication (Zoom) on Thursday, Nov. 30, 2023, beginning at 9 a.m. to discuss VMI business.
The meeting will begin and end as an open meeting and is expected to include a closed session to discuss only those matters allowed by law. If necessary, any board actions related to closed session discussions will occur during the open meeting at the conclusion of the meeting.
The open sessions will be streamed live for public viewing on the BOV Upcoming Meetings page.
Should there by an interruption in service during the open portion of the meeting, please call (540) 464-7207.
There will be no opportunity for public comment during the meeting. However, written comments may be submitted to BOVSecretary@vmi.edu. Written comments received by close of business on Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2023, will be distributed to members of the Executive Committee in advance of the meeting.
