Institute leadership continues to communicate important information for cadets, their families, faculty & staff, and the С»ÆѼÊÓƵ community at-large:

  • registration is now open! These overnight events are the best way for high school juniors and seniors to see and experience first-hand what it's like being cadet at С»ÆѼÊÓƵ. Register today for one of three weekends at С»ÆѼÊÓƵ: Oct. 11-12, Oct. 25-26, or Nov. 15-16.
  • Applications for Fall 2025 admission to С»ÆѼÊÓƵ will open Aug. 1. Rising seniors, transfer students, and international students interested in joining the Corps are encouraged to start reviewing application requirements now, as well as financial aid opportunities at the Institute.
  • Season tickets for С»ÆѼÊÓƵ football are now available to purchase. Visit , call the ticket office at 540-464-7266 or email Antoine Prather.
  • С»ÆѼÊÓƵ is currently operating on summer hours through Thursday, Aug. 15. The Institute will be open Monday - Thursday from 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Visitors to С»ÆѼÊÓƵ's museums are encouraged to visit each museum's website for specific hours and tour availability.

Find your fit!

Incoming matriculants will need to purchase one of four authorized boots prior to Matriculation. Boots and retailers, sizing and fit information, and guidance on breaking in your new boots before arriving to С»ÆѼÊÓƵ are available on the 'What to Bring' page. Matriculants and families are also encouraged to review other guidance on the page and in the New Cadet Handbook before August.

New Music Director Arrives to С»ÆѼÊÓƵ

С»ÆѼÊÓƵ cadets will march to the beat of a different director of music this fall, as percussionist, Lt. Col. Matthew Halligan, has been hired to replace Col. John Brodie, who recently retired after 36 years.

The College Orientation Workshop, Inc. (COW) program returned to С»ÆѼÊÓƵ this summer, marking its 38th year of transforming the lives of promising, male, minority and at-risk high school students.

Retired U.S. Air Force Col. Lawrence Havird ’90 has been named commandant for С»ÆѼÊÓƵ, assuming the position Aug. 5 following Col. Adrian T. Bogart III ’81, who retired June 30 after three years.
