Dr. YuFu Kuo is an Assistant Professor and Academic Coordinator/Assistant Simulation Director at С»ÆÑ¼ÊÓÆµ, where he has been a faculty member since 2019. He teaches a variety of courses within the Physician Assistant Program, including Human Anatomy, Pathophysiology, Principles of Medicine-MSK module, and Diagnostic Skills and Procedures. Dr. Kuo also supports academic and simulation efforts, contributing to numerous committees and serving as an advisor for both the Pre-Physician Assistant Student Study Program and the Equity Bridge Program.
Dr. Kuo holds a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Cleveland Chiropractic College and a Master’s degree in Applied Mathematics in Biology from the University of Nebraska. His academic credentials are complemented by a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Ohio State University. His prior teaching roles at Cerritos College, Los Angeles Trade Tech College, Mt. San Antonio College, and Cleveland Chiropractic College have enriched his experience in human anatomy and physiology.
Beyond his academic and clinical roles, Dr. Kuo has a notable record in research, particularly focusing on community health issues and dietary impacts among underserved populations. His recent studies include research on dietary quality and colorectal cancer screening. Notably, he is currently leading a significant research project titled “Attitude and Perception of Medical Students, Physician Assistant (PA) Students, and Nurse Practitioner (NP) Students Towards AI-Assisted X-ray Diagnostics and AI-Assisted X-ray Medical Education.” This study explores how emerging technologies in AI are perceived by future healthcare professionals, aiming to enhance understanding and integration of these innovations in medical education and practice.
